Georgia-Pacific Corporation Leases 24,000 Square Feet in Belz's Interstate Industrial Park
Georgia-Pacific, one of the world's leading manufacturers and distributors of tissue, packaging, paper, building products and related materials, has leased 24,000 square feet of industrial warehouse space in Belz's Interstate Industrial Park on Brooks Road in Memphis.
The company, headquartered in Atlanta, has more than 400 facilities and employs more than 60,000 people worldwide. According to Georgia-Pacific, relocation of their Memphis resource facility is being made because they are able to get premium space for a better value with Belz. This facility will employ 125 people.
"The excellent location of the Interstate Industrial Park near Memphis International Airport and the interstate system is a perfect match for the worldwide distribution needs of Georgia-Pacific," said Andrew J. Groveman, senior vice president of Belz.
Georgia-Pacific was founded in 1927 by Owen Cheatham as a wholesaler of hardwood lumber. Today, the company manufacturers and distributes a variety of household, industrial and packaging products.
