100 Oaks Mall - Nashville Hosts Spice Sale To Benefit Junior Achievement

Nashville, TN (May 3, 1999) -- 100 Oaks Mall, the first shopping mall ever built in Tennessee, is proud to host the Junior Achievement spice sale to benefit the Nashville community. The fund raiser takes place Friday, May 7th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. near the food court on the second level.

Seventh graders from Cameron High School will sell live plants, basil and other blended spices. In addition, a special spice that the students grew themselves will be sold.

Half of the proceeds from the spice sale will benefit the students of Junior Achievement, the country’s oldest and largest institution that provides economically-related educational programs for youths. Junior Achievement promotes continued education, understanding of business and economics and the importance of the free enterprise system.

The other recipient of the benefit is the Cameron Pride Fund, an organization dedicated to environmental awareness and community beautification.

"We are pleased to participate in an event that teaches today’s youth vital business concepts such as money management while, at the same time, raises funds to better the Nashville community," says Andrew J. Groveman, Senior Vice President of Belz Enterprises.

Located at 719 Thompson Lane in Nashville, Tennessee, 100 Oaks Mall offers the finest shopping experience. Built in 1967 by Belz Enterprises, the 100 Oaks Mall is the second enclosed mall to have been built in the Southeast.

100 Oaks Mall is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
