100 Oaks Mall Nashville will take part in the fight against
cancer by hosting a kick-off event on Tuesday, April 24th for the American
Cancer Society's Relay for Life, an all-night, non-competitive team
event happening throughout Tennessee and all over America on Friday,
June 22nd.
Volunteers from the American Cancer Society will be on hand to distribute
literature on the relay, as well as information on cancer prevention,
at tables set up in front of Serendipity, on the mall's second level.
There will also be tents set up in the mall parking lot, with a disc
jockey broadcasting music for all to enjoy. To celebrate cancer survivorship,
health, teamwork and the community, there will be free food for all,
while supplies last. Candles will also be available for purchase and
can be used at a candlelight vigil, which will be held during the upcoming
Relay for Life to honor all individuals whose lives have been affected
by cancer.
