Back Yard Burgers Moves Corporate Headquarters To Shelby Oaks Corporate Park

MEMPHIS, Tennessee, April 25, 2000 - Back Yard Burgers has moved its corporate headquarters to Shelby Oaks Corporate Park in East Memphis.

Back Yard Burgers’ new office contains 7,500 square feet of space designed specifically for use as the company’s headquarters. The build-to-suit facility will easily accommodate the corporate office’s 30 employees, while allowing for additional space as the company continues to grow.

Founded in Cleveland, Mississippi in 1987, Back Yard Burgers moved its corporate headquarters to Memphis in 1990. Since then the restaurant chain has continued to grow with 88 restaurants now operating in 16 states. Started as a “double drive through” concept, many restaurants now include dining rooms, a self-serve beverage center and the standard single drive-thru lane.

Formerly located on American Way, the decision to relocate to Shelby Oaks Corporate Park was a natural progression in the growth of a rapidly expanding company.
