Solectron Global Services Leases 325,000-Square-Foot Facility

Belz Enterprises signed its largest lease in 2002 with Milpitas, California-based Solectron Global Services. Located at the Southridge Industrial Park, Solectron is combining four existing facilities into one in order to house a new 325,000-square-foot distribution and repair facility. The renovation project is being completed with the help of Suitt Construction.

Solectron offers the largest, most complete array of post-manufacturing solutions in the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industry. Their skilled technicians service a wide range of products and technologies, including LCD, optical and RF product repair at the component or system level.

"The layout of the facility has been challenging, but we had the opportunity to change the site to fit our needs. Combining our locations will make our business operations much more efficient. Both our employees and customers are very satisfied with the changes in location and the renovations," said Kay Jenks, Solectron Project Manager.

The Memphis space is home to one of Solectron’s fast-hub depots that are located strategically throughout the globe to provide fast-turnaround and rapid response times. The hub services electronic products, and provides customer support to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) that outsource their manufacturing operations. “Solectron was looking for a large space in a convenient location in order to better serve their customers," said Morris Thomas, vice president of Brokerage and Leasing. "Because of its proximity to the airport and availability of build-to-suit space, Southridge was the ideal location.”
