Festival Bay at International Drive Continues to Attract New Retailers to Orlando

A unique concept from the start, Festival Bay at International Drive, Orlando's first true lifestyle, retail and entertainment center, continues to bring new and unusual retailers to the Orlando area for residents and visitors to enjoy. Rather than your typical mall department stores, Festival Bay at International Drive is home to many one-of-a-kind retailers not found anywhere else in the city.

A look at the complex's anchor tenants proves that this is not a typical mall property. Anchors include Ron Jon Surf Shop, Cinemark Theatres, Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, Vans Skatepark, Steve & Barry's University Sportswear, and Sheplers Western Wear - all of which celebrate a wide variety of active lifestyles.

"Our goal was to create an exciting venue where locals and tourists could come to have fun, relax, eat and play," said Andrew J. Groveman, senior vice president of B.T. Orlando, which owns and manages Festival Bay at International Drive. "Local residents and tourists are beginning to realize that this property is truly unique. We are constantly adding tenants that are new to the Orlando market.

Murray Bros. Caddyshack and Fuddruckers Top List of New Tenants
In keeping with the tradition of bringing new retailers to Orlando, Festival Bay at International Drive has signed a lease with Murray Bros. Caddyshack.® The 275-seat eatery is scheduled to open in May and will occupy 10,000 square feet of space across the waterfront area of the complex.

Owned by comedian Bill Murray and his five brothers, the restaurant combines the brothers' sense of irreverence with their love of golf and is designed to look and feel like a country club gone awry - much like the movie of the same name.

In addition to the main dining room, the interior will feature a Bunker Bar with specialty drinks; Looper's Lounge, which will double as a billiards room and seating area for large groups; and the Shed, where items such as golf gadgets, t-shirts, glasses and golf attire will be sold.

Also joining Festival Bay at International Drive in May is Fuddruckers, home of "the world's greatest hamburgers." Founded in 1980 in San Antonio, Texas, Fuddruckers offers high-quality hamburgers that are cooked to order. Patrons participate in the ultimate hamburger experience by building their sandwich from a loaded fresh produce and condiment area. The 5,500-square-foot restaurant will occupy a space facing the waterfront with a mall entrance.

Several new retailers and eateries have already opened their doors to patrons at Festival Bay at International Drive over the past few months. Subway, which opened in December, is serving up its classic submarine sandwiches, salads, deli-style sandwiches and hearty soups.

Fiore also opened in December. The one-of-a-kind gift store was developed by the owners of Flowers Forever and combines the water-look floral style with other unique floral-related and home d'cor gift items. The store's wares include beaded picture frames, Italian vases, oil lamps, embroidered pillows and a selection of hand-painted glassware and mouth-blown perfume bottles.

In addition, Image Leather began offering fine Italian lambskin leather accessories and apparel in December. The retailer boasts 600 square feet of quality leather handbags, pants, skirts and jackets, and also offers alterations and made-to-order leather apparel. Del Sol recently moved into its 1,260-square-foot location, where it offers high-quality products that change color in sunlight. Customers can choose from youth and adult t-shirts, sunglasses, polo shirts, totes, hats, visors, jewelry and nail polish.

According to Groveman, more exciting new tenants will be announced soon. "The center is already a favorite destination in Orlando, and we continue to add one-of-a-kind retailers and restaurants - paving the way for Festival Bay at International Drive to become the most popular lifestyle and entertainment attraction in Central Florida."
