Businesses Find New Office Space at Belz Properties

Belz, a leader in real estate development and property management, offers upscale office properties throughout the Memphis area - from Downtown Memphis, to Germantown, to the booming technology corridor in East Memphis near FedEx's world headquarters. New tenants recently have joined The Tower at Peabody Place, Champion Hills Office Park and Shelby Oaks Corporate Park.

The Tower at Peabody Place
is a 15-story building in the heart of downtown that includes Class A office space, specialty retail and commercial shops and six levels of parking. It is located within walking distance of 70 restaurants, housing, shops and entertainment venues.

Carlisle Corporation, which owns and manages nearly 100 Wendy's restaurants throughout the South, leased 8,200 square feet and occupies half of the 11th floor.

Deloitte and Touche, a national accounting firm that offers auditing and management consulting services, occupies the entire eighth floor, which equals 18,260 square feet.

Gary K. Smith & Associates, PLLC, a law firm that focuses on plaintiff's litigation, has 3,750 square feet of space on the 10th floor with a bird's-eye view of the Orpheum. Perigee Group, an accounting services firm, has leased 2,400 square feet on the 13th floor.

Swig Martini Bar can also be found in The Tower office building. Swig, the second location for the San Antonio-based company, is located on the first floor and features an extensive menu of more than 70 martinis, in addition to wine, cognac, cocktails and food.

Champion Hills Office Park
comprises approximately 74,670 square feet of Class A office space, and is within close proximity to many East Memphis restaurants, hotels and retail venues. The office park overlooks Windyke Country Club, which offers three golf courses and a tennis facility, and is an ideal setting for tenants who are looking for beautiful and functional space.

Champion Hills' marquee tenants are Kiesewetter Wise Kaplan Schwimmer & Prather, PLC, a 13,700-square-foot law firm representing management in the areas of labor relations, employment law and human resources; and Southwind Medical Specialists, an internal medicine practice that occupies 13,650 square feet of office/medical space.

The Alan White Company, a furniture manufacturer based in Stamps, Arkansas, has leased 3,500 square feet of space. The company, which manufactures large upholstery and living room furniture, chose Champion Hills to establish a new, cutting-edge design studio in Memphis.

Applied Underwriters, a workers' compensation and financial services company specializing in small- to medium-sized companies, occupies 5,600 square feet. In addition, Private Wealth Management, a local financial services firm, moved into approximately 2,000 square feet on the first floor overlooking the golf course at Champion Hills.

Shelby Oaks Corporate Park
is a National Association of Industrial and Office Parks award winner. Located between Summer Avenue (U.S. Highway 70) and I-240 in East Memphis, Shelby Oaks is close to everything a business needs, including restaurants, hotels, commercial centers, suburban residential areas and recreational spots.

High Tech Institute (HTI), which is Shelby Oaks' newest tenant, provides post-secondary education in the fields of Allied Health Care and Technology. The Memphis campus provides 19,650 square feet of learning space. The company offers Associate of Applied Science degrees in programs that include Medical Assisting, Massage Therapy and Surgical Technology. HTI selected Shelby Oaks for its Memphis campus because of its access to the interstate, pleasant surroundings and ample parking.

A number of existing tenants have undergone expansions as well. Askew, Hargraves, Harcourt & Associates, LLC has expanded and is the largest tenant located in Plaza I. The consulting engineering firm specializes in grant administration, structural design/analysis and civil engineering.

Other expansions at Shelby Oaks Corporate Park include Overland Solutions, the nation's largest full-service premium audit and survey company, which has relocated to 2,500 square feet in Shelby Oaks Plaza I; and Bond, Johnson & Bond, a nursing home investment and operations company that is expanding to 8,100 square feet in Shelby Oaks Plaza II.
