New Venues Prove Attractive to Customers at Belz Festival Bay Mall

The concept of a lifestyle retail, dining and entertainment center that offers one-of-a-kind retail shops and restaurants is proving to be a huge success at Belz Festival Bay Mall at International Drive in Orlando. Not only is the property seeing continued growth of new leases involving in-line retailers, but the mall’s tenants are enjoying a surge in sales as well.

“Our tenants experienced unprecedented sales increases in the third and fourth quarters of 2004,” said Andrew J. Groveman, senior vice president of B.T. Orlando, which developed and owns Belz Festival Bay Mall at International Drive. “Most of our major anchor stores have exceeded their projection figures and have earned reclassifications to higher sales levels within their companies.”

Located on the north end of Orlando’s retail and entertainment district, Belz Festival Bay Mall at International Drive stands out among the city’s numerous area attractions and entertainment venues as the place to go for shopping, entertainment and more.

Featuring an elegant tropical design with intricate mosaic tiles and a
series of inter-connected walkways and plazas around an interior waterfront, Belz Festival Bay Mall at International Drive epitomizes the upbeat, funin- the-sun Florida lifestyle. Anchor tenants such as Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, Cinemark 20 Theatres, Vans Skatepark, Steve and Barry’s University Sportswear, Sheplers Western Wear and Ron Jon Surf Shop, plus a number of unique in-line retailers, add to the center’s appeal.

Fueled by the area’s growing economy and exciting additions, Belz Festival Bay Mall at International Drive is experiencing an increase in the number of new visitors and area residents, including a 35 percent higher daily traffic count compared to the same time last year.

In addition to the surge in traffic and tenant sales, a number of new in-line retailers are scheduled to open soon – adding 65,000 square feet to the mix of options found at Belz Festival Bay Mall at International Drive.

“Belz Festival Bay Mall is quickly becoming the crown jewel of Orlando’s shopping district,” said Groveman. “Having diverse retailers not found anywhere else in Orlando sets us apart from the competition and positions us among the city’s retail leaders. We have become a regional center for residents and a vacation destination for visitors to relax, shop and have fun.”
