Peabody Place Expands Retail, Food and Fun Offerings Downtown Located in the heart of Memphis’ booming Downtown, the eightblock area known as Peabody Place continues to offer the very best in retail, food and fun. As downtown grows, Belz continues to add shopping options and restaurants to Peabody Place that are sure to please every tourist, resident and visitor alike. More Shopping Foot Locker, the world’s leading retailer of athletic footwear and apparel, joins celebrated retail brands such as Ann Taylor Loft, Victoria’s Secret, The GAP and Sunglass Hut at the Peabody Place Entertainment and Retail Center. The new store offers a large selection of athletic shoes and clothing, accessories, sports equipment and fan gear. “Foot Locker is one of the most recognized athletic retailers in the country,” said Andrew J. Groveman, senior vice president of Belz. “The company has acknowledged the enormous growth in downtown and we’re thrilled that it’s chosen Peabody Place as its new home.” For more refined apparel, Shelton Clothiers will bring fine retail back to Main Street. Owner Thomas Shelton spent 15 years with an upscale apparel store in East Memphis before deciding to step out on his own. The growing population and the expanding retail offerings downtown influenced Shelton to make the move. Shelton Clothiers will offer better men’s clothing with personalized service. In order to make the customers feel as comfortable as possible, the store will have hardwood floors, a first-class mirrored fitting area with leather seating, antiques and a wine bar. More Restaurants Appetite-pleasers abound at Peabody Place. From the all- American to the flavor of the East, visitors will never go home hungry.
