VF FACTORY OUTLET AND BELZ FACTORY OUTLET WORLD - ST. AUGUSTINE TEAM TO COLLECT SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR NEEDY KIDS
"Fill the Bus" Donations Accepted at Belz Factory Outlet World Through July 20
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla., (July 15, 2003) - As the back-to-school frenzy approaches, VF Factory Outlet and Belz Factory Outlet World - St. Augustine are helping needy children and teachers better prepare for the upcoming school year.
VF Factory Outlet at Belz Factory Outlet World - St. Augustine will collect donated classroom supplies for teachers as part of its "Fill the Bus" program through July 20. Because the average teacher spends about $250 out of pocket for classroom supplies each year, VF Factory Outlet started the nationwide program in 2001 to alleviate teachers' classroom budget shortage.
"At VF Factory Outlet, we know that teachers are faced with an overwhelming shortage in funds as they endeavor to educate tomorrow's leaders," commented VF Factory Outlet President Prakash Bhatt. "Our team at Belz Factory Outlet World - St. Augustine is working to engage the community's support in filling this critical need for classroom supplies."
Shoppers can bring their donations to the school bus-shaped box inside the VF Factory Outlet store at Belz Factory Outlet World - St. Augustine. Those donating classroom supplies will receive a 20 percent off any item coupon at VF Factory Outlet.
In addition to collecting supplies at VF Factory Outlet, Belz Factory Outlet World - St. Augustine will host a car wash at the mall to benefit the "Fill the Bus" program. The donated classroom supplies and money will be presented to three St. Augustine schools in a July 26 presentation ceremony. The presentation will be part of the Belz Factory Outlet World - St. Augustine Fourth Anniversary Celebration.
Located at 500 Belz Blvd. in St. Augustine, Belz Factory Outlet World is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
