International Paneling
Location is Key to 25 Years of Success

In the competitive business of manufacturing wall paneling, International Paneling has learned that location is the key to success. With their closest competitor more than 500 miles away, the 25-year-old company has transformed itself from a $98,000 a year business to a $2.8 million business.

A tenant of Belz Enterprises since its inception, International Paneling’s business started in a small facility on Thomas Street manufacturing 300 pieces of wall paneling a day. But after moving to a new 55,195-square-foot building at 705 Corrine St., the company can now produce 6,000 pieces a day.

International Paneling President, Wilce Rawles says his company chose to move into the North Memphis Industrial Park because they felt that a centralized location would be key to the company’s success.

“Our new space is located only two minutes away from the railways and expressway, with a ready labor market nearby,” said Rawles. “That, along with an economical space, helps us meet our needs in order to be successful.”

When International Paneling started in 1975 with two employees, it concentrated strictly on manufacturing wall paneling. As the industry began to shift towards industrial paneling, International Paneling followed suit. Today, the company em-ployees 30 workers and dedicates 65 percent of its business to industrial paneling.
