Starbucks Moving into Poplar Pointe
Only One Space Left at Poplar Pointe
MEMPHIS, Tennessee, February xx, 2007 – Belz announced today that Starbucks, the nation’s premier supplier of coffee, will open a new, drive-thru location at Poplar Pointe.
The coffee giant’s new location will be 1,900 square feet and is scheduled to open in the mid-summer.
“Poplar Pointe is a prime East Memphis location,” said Andy Groveman, senior vice president of Belz. “This location will give Starbucks a very visible and accessible location in the heart of East Memphis adjacent to the I-240 loop on Poplar Avenue. It will have enough room for a drive-thru, something very few of Starbucks’ East Memphis locations currently have.”
At Poplar Pointe, Starbucks will join Triumph Bank, which opened earlier this year and the Olive Garden, an Italian restaurant scheduled to open in July. There is still one 1,900 square foot space available for rent in Poplar Pointe.
Located at Poplar and I-240, Poplar Pointe has convenient access to both northbound and southbound highway traffic on I-240 and the businesses located in the Poplar corridor. With more than 70,000 cars passing the location daily, Poplar Pointe will provide Starbucks with unparalleled visibility.
