Belz Factory Outlet Worlds Back-To-School Celebration
In Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (August 6, 1998) -- Belz Factory Outlet World - Las Vegas is having a
back-to-school celebration that promises to both entertain and educate all students and
shoppers who attend. Its an opportunity for students of all ages to get prepared for
the upcoming school year. The celebration will take place Saturday, August 8th from 10:00
a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Live entertainment will be provided all throughout the day. From 1:00
p.m. to 1:30 p.m., there will be a storytelling session for kids at the
Carousel Food Court. Showtime Productions will be performing Rock and Roll and
Countrys top hits of the 50s and 60s at the Green Food Court Area at
noon and 2 p.m. Lite Rock 100 will also be at the Green Food Court Area from 10 a.m. to 1
p.m. Channel 21 kids club The Zone will be there with a sign up booth.
The Clark County Health Department will offer free immunization for
students in preschool through college. A free ear and hearing check will be made available
from the Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists of Nevada. Nevada Child Seekers will provide
free fingerprinting for children and photographs for a nominal fee. The Las Vegas Public
Library will also be on site to offer library cards and library information. Clark County
School System students will have the chance to sign up for free coupons and passes to
museums and attractions in Nevada, with visits from some of their mascots. Representatives
from the Clark County School Systems Elementary, Secondary Schools, Community
Relations, School Zoning, Transportation Division and School Building Program will also be
present.
This is a great opportunity for the Clark County community as
well as surrounding communities to educate themselves in what they need to know in the
case of an emergency situation, says Andrew J. Groveman, President of Belz Factory
Outlet Division of Belz Enterprises. Its also a chance for parents to make
sure that their children are well prepared for the upcoming school year.
The event will be visited by several educational alliances such as
D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education), C.R.A.V.E. (Cops Racing Against Violence
through Education), McGruff, the crime dog, Las Vegas Metro Police Representatives, UNLV,
CCSN, and the Clark County Fire Department, along with their fire engine display and 911
booth.
