Anniversary Celebration

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (October 16, 1997) – For the past four years, Belz Factory Outlet World in Las Vegas has provided extraordinary shopping featuring more than 140 famous name brand stores. After two expansions, Belz Factory Outlet World is now the largest outlet mall under one roof in the country. To commemorate this growth and progress, an anniversary celebration is planned for the weekend of Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26.

Everyone is excited about the Belz anniversary, including two of the World Championship Wrestling (WCW) stars who are participating in the festivities. Straight out of the wrestling ring, Wrath, the 6’8" bundle of terror, and Disco Inferno, who holds the WCW’s TV championship belt, will be signing autographs, posing for pictures and greeting customers in the Green Food Court area on Saturday, October 25 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to come out and enjoy themselves. The wrestlers, always unpredictable, are anxious to meet their Las Vegas fans.

On Sunday from noon to 4:00 p.m., the anniversary festivities will transform the mall into a circus-like showcase as caricature artists, strolling magicians and face painters entertain. A giant "Katerpillar" for children to crawl through, will also be there. The event is free, open to the public and promises fun for all ages.

Today’s popular music will resonate throughout the mall as a DJ spins records from noon to 4:00 p.m. To give the mall some extra color, 500 teal and red balloons with the Belz logo will be distributed throughout the day.

People of all ages will enjoy having caricatures drawn from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Face painters will also be throughout the mall from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. to give children unique works of art to wear home on their faces.

Located on Las Vegas Boulevard, just south of the famous Las Vegas Strip, Belz Factory Outlet World offers the finest in factory outlet shopping. Belz Factory Outlet World - Las Vegas is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
