Maria Fleming Appointed General Manager
Belz Factory Outlet World - Las Vegas

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (April 3, 1997) – Belz Factory Outlet World - Las Vegas announces the appointment of Maria Fleming as general manager.

Fleming, who has been with Belz since December 1996, is responsible for managing the largest outlet mall under one roof in the country.

Before joining Belz, Fleming spent four and a half years as the center manager and regional marketing manager of eight centers for Factory Stores of America Outlet Centers.

Throughout her career, Fleming has earned many distinguishable honors such as the Woman of Achievement Award 1987 Hotel/Tourism for Nevada, and two Value Retail News Savvy Awards. Additionally, she has received a Merit/Maxi award from International Council of Shopping Centers. Fleming has also served as the Women’s Council president of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and president of Soroptimist International of Metropolitan Las Vegas.

Graduating from Drake Business College and Ramada School of Hospitality gave Fleming an excellent background to help her establish her career in property management.

Fleming, a Las Vegas resident for 28 years, also gained experience from her 20-year career with Casino/Resorts including the Tropicana Hotel/Casino and Marina Hotel, as director of sales and marketing.

Fleming feels that her past experience with operations and marketing has helped prepare her for the challenge of managing the largest outlet mall under one roof in the country.

Belz Factory Outlet World - Las Vegas currently houses 145 top-of-the-line manufacturer’s outlets. Throughout the year, Belz hosts a variety of events including arts & crafts fairs, car shows, holiday promotions, special sales and much more. Belz also welcomes large groups and tour buses. The complex has ample parking and is fully enclosed and climate controlled.

Located at 7400 Las Vegas Blvd. South, on "The Strip" at Warm Springs Road, Belz Factory Outlet World - Las Vegas is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

For shopping convenience, Belz Factory Outlet World - Las Vegas has two food courts, and a carousel ride for entertainment.

In addition to Belz Factory Outlet World - Las Vegas, Belz operates other Factory Outlet Worlds in Orlando, Fla., and Pigeon, Tenn., Lakeland, Tenn., and Wentzville, Mo., a power retail shopping center in Nashville, Tenn., and has future development plans for St. Augustine, Fla., and Puerto Rico.
