Belz Factory Outlet World
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (May 16, 1997) Belz Factory Outlet World will bring SICO (pronounced SE-CO), the worlds only robot who has a membership in the Screen Actors Guild and has visited the White House, to the Childrens Center at the University Medical Center, 1800 West Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, on Monday, May 19th at 10:30 a.m.
During his stay in Las Vegas, SICO will be visiting the Childrens Center playroom and individual childrens rooms to brighten their day with his humor and enthusiasm. He will also make an appearance at Belz Factory Outlet World, 7400 Las Vegas Blvd. South, on Monday, May 19th, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
A product of International Robotics, Inc., SICO possesses the most sophisticated robot communication technology in the world. He has the ability to spontaneously adjust his speech, mannerisms and behavior to fit any age group or environment. With his warm friendly, playful and caring ways SICO proves that even robots can have a personality. SICO is popular with all ages and brings a smile to everyone.
SICO stands six-feet tall and his body is especially well animated for a very life-like presentation. He can speak up to seven languages, serve food and drinks, and even dance - talents that have landed SICO appearances on numerous television shows and the movie "Rocky IV".
"SICO is the perfect presentation at a childrens hospital because the childrens eyes light up and for that moment their other cares are all forgotten," says Andrew J. Groveman, president of Belz Factory Outlet World division. "Whenever Belz brings SICO to Las Vegas, we make sure he has the opportunity to make a child smile."
SICO will also be attending the International Shopping Center Council with Belz Enterprises during the week of May 19-23.
