100 Oaks Mall -
Nashville Hosts "Kids Summer Safety Day"
"Flashy the Fire Dog" Promotes Fire Safety
Nashville, TN (May 12, 1999) -- 100 Oaks
Mall, the first shopping mall ever built in Tennessee,
will host "Kids Summer Safety Day" on May 14th
from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on the second level near the food
court.
Parents are encouraged to bring their children to see
"Flashy the Fire Dog", a mechanical robot with
his own fire truck. Flashy instructs kids on fire safety
and prevention, as well as on what to do in the event of
a fire. In addition, a Nashville Firefighters Association
representative will be on hand to give out free coloring
books and to share important fire safety tips.
"We are proud to be involved in an event which
promotes fire safety -- a serious issue for
children," says Andrew J. Groveman, Senior Vice
President of Belz Enterprises. "We hope all parents
will bring their children to 100 Oaks Mall for this
significant event."
