Jason D. Williams brings high-energy act to Peabody Place, Wednesday, May 19
MEMPHIS, Tennessee, May 5, 1999 Jason D. Williams will play at the next installment of the Peabody Place Concert Series, Wednesday, May 19, at 6 p.m. The concert will be held at the foot of the Tower at Peabody Place at the corner of Main Street and Peabody Place in downtown Memphis.
Trademarked by his bold, high-energy performances, Williams is described as Memphis most dynamic piano player with the same musical innovation and on-the-edge attitude as Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley. He is popular with local and national audiences for his wide variety of musical styles from classical to rockabilly, country to jazz, and on to rock-and-roll.
Williams rigorous road tour keeps him on the road more than 200 days a year. His act also boasts a long list of prominent national performances: VH-1, Live with Regis & Kathy Lee, Entertainment Tonight, MTV News, TNN, and a performance for the President and Mrs. Clinton on her 50th birthday.
The Peabody Place Concert Series is sponsored by Belz Enterprises, Budweiser, the Center City Commission, Rock 103 and The Memphis Flyer. All concerts are free and open to the public. In the event of rain, this concert will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 20.
