Festival Bay at International Drive Continues to Bring Entertainment and Fun to Orlando

Festival Bay at International Drive, Orlando's first lifestyle retail and entertainment center, continues to offer visitors and local residents a unique and exciting venue for shopping, relaxing, and having fun. The property boasts anchor tenants that are new to the Orlando market rather than the typical department stores found in other malls. Anchor tenants include Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, Cinemark Theatres, Vans Skatepark, Steve & Barry's University Sportswear, Sheplers Western Wear and Ron Jon Surf Shop.

Themed retailers such as Hawaiian-themed Hilo Hattie complete the center's extraordinary combination of brands, each celebrating active lifestyles in a different way.

In addition to the great combination of retail, entertainment, and restaurants that already exist at the lifestyle center, Festival Bay at International Drive hosted various promotions during the summer, giving visitors another reason to come to the center and enjoy the events with the whole family.

This summer Festival Bay at International Drive hosted a 12-week Summer Games promotion to commemorate the center's opening and give visitors a chance to join in on the celebration. Participants took part in six exciting challenges, each with a theme for anchor and retail stores at Festival Bay at International Drive.

The games included robo-surfer, virtual bass fishing, bungee bull, inflatable wall climbing, tee-it-up radar golf, and armchair quarterback. Participants competed for mall gift certificates and cash prizes.

"This promotion not only gave shoppers another reason to visit Festival Bay at International Drive, it gave visitors a chance to have some safe summer fun and win prizes," said Andrew J. Groveman, senior vice president representing B.T. Orlando Limited Partnership. "Promotions such as these underscore our commitment to create a shopping and entertainment experience like no other."

Festival Bay at International Drive also served as host of the Miss Hawaiian Tropic® Florida Pageant Finals on September 6, 2003. The event attracted more than 18,000 visitors to the center, and included a fashion show featuring contestants modeling outfits provided by the center's retailers.

A panel of local celebrity judges, including Chris Kirkpatrick from N'Sync, Erik-Michael Estrada from O-Town, and hip-hop artists, Smilez and South Star, chose the winner from 30 contestants.

As Festival Bay at International Drive grows, the center will continue to offer visitors fun and entertainment found nowhere else in Orlando.
